By invitation of Senate Committee on Housing Chair, Michele Reynolds (R-Franklin County), Mike Sikora recently presented testimony on behalf of NAIOP of Ohio about how economic development programs including what we refer to as the “Big 4” (OZ, TMUD, Brownfield, and HTC) affect housing and the commercial real estate industry at large. Through 45 minutes of testimony, including multiple questions and answers, Mike took the opportunity to educate the Committee and offered multiple recommendations on ways to improve state public policy to make it even more supportive of housing. Many of our Clients have developed a wide range of housing, and housing remains an in-demand asset class. The State of Ohio is likely to implement more policies to support housing development of all types in the future.
