Jim represents developers, builders, buyers, and sellers in all aspects of commercial, industrial, and residential property acquisition, sale, leasing, construction, and development. Jim’s practice focuses on transactional real estate, construction, land use, zoning, tax valuation challenges, title, and real estate development. His litigation experience includes construction related disputes, real estate contract disputes, eminent domain, title disputes, and zoning disputes.

Jim is a member of the Ohio and Lake County Bar Associations. Jim is active in the community and has served on the Boards of Painesville Area Chamber of Commerce, Lake County Planning Commission, Lake Education Assistance Foundation and Forbes House. Jim served as General Counsel to the Home Builder’s Association of Greater Cleveland from 2001-2009.

In 2005 Jim was named by Law & Politics and Cincinnati Magazine as an Ohio Rising Star and has an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Jim received his Bachelor’s degree from Wittenberg University in 1989 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Richmond in 1992. He is a proud graduate and supporter of Lake Catholic High School.
